I do not want to defend SWIFT BUT, article says Swift have 21 000 drivers, now who have more chanses to involved into accident Swift or Mom&Pop company who have 50 drivers?
So yeah by % 650 accidents in 2 years on 21 000 drivers not that bad actualy

 

Good argument to take to court for the fanatics that want to govern trucks to 65.

WDTN is being very kind to Swift.

They say Swift drivers have been involved in more than 650 crashes in the last two years. More than 2300 in that time involving a tow, injuries and/or fatalities.

The 650 they used is for crashes with injuries but no fatalities.

Noooo, once again the media misrepresents the truth. The braindead general public will read "SWIFT" and "SPEED WAS A FACTOR", and will instantly think that ol Theodore was rocketing down the road like a bat out of hell.

 

But just like the majority of crashes that happen, it couldve been avoided. Being a former Swift driver, the whole get your CDL in four weeks annoys me. I EARNED my CDL in eights technically nine weeks. Sure it was longer but I can say that I learned more doing a nine week course than a four week course.
