Shiner has some good brews; bock, Oktoberfest, black label, lots of fruit flavored ones also(I don’t care for fruit beers no matter who’s).
Dadetrucking305 and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
If I was in Midland with nothing to do I’d head for Marfa. I had a heck of a weekend there one night when we got to town a day early to load cattle.Rideandrepair, wore out, austinmike and 2 others Thank this.

Yor correct, Not quitting, just taking a break and making a needed change at the same time. I have few bills and the truck is long ago paid for. No need to do a job I dont like, for less than it's worth.
I'm probably back to deck work in April sometime, as I said I have a standing offer, but we will see after a couple weeks on a beach. Was just wondering if anyone else was going to use this time to make a change also?Rideandrepair, Last Call and Western flyer Thank this. -
I'am not going to make any real changes .. but going to let things stabilize alittle and there's some work I've been wanting to do to my truck .. now seems like a good timeMagoo1968, Rideandrepair and Elroythekid Thank this.

Same here. Got a new DOT number. After I leave my lease-on and before I put down the insurance money, etc. will be the ideal time to chill out and let the brokers catch up. Looking forward to a couple home improvement projects and glad I saved just enough to take some time off.
Rideandrepair and Elroythekid Thank this. -
It’s a thought worth pondering…..at the rate fuel is rising, freight rates are (whatever), and if you have a breakdown with the current parts supply availability, one might not be able to afford that beer. (We ran out yesterday and the delivery truck hasn’t come yet). I’ll just see you at the beach, I’ll bring the beer!Elroythekid and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Well, I'm taking my truck to the shop on days I'm not working. Maybe not the best time to empty your wallet. But when rates are up, I'm better off running than taking time off to fix things around.Elroythekid, Sirscrapntruckalot and Rideandrepair Thank this.
