not to drive when you are tired/fatigue. nothing will be smooth and huge mistake will be ready to happen. and dont ever get too comfortable even though you have been doing it for more than a hundred time

Never nap in the drivers seat. Muscle memory is your friend and enemy.

All of my fingers work fine again. No workmans comp was filed. Perhaps I should have, but I did not. There was very little cost to myself beyond some padded gloves and a bit of discomfort.

If you couldn't close your hand to grip the wheel and it was caused by working then you should have put in a claim. That is a safety issue. You should have been sitting at home getting paid by WC until you were able to do your job safely IMO. I will make sure to be aware of the possibility of hand issues if I decide to pursue truck driving.

I was able to grip. It was simply a bit painful, and after not using my hands for several hours, I had to use them for a while before they worked right. After the first few minutes in the morning, the rest of the day was irritating and a little painful at times, but I was able to maintain a proper grip on the wheel.

My original problem was that I was gripping too firmly, without changing hand position. I changed that behavior.

Make sure bar code on your BOL matches bar code on freight in trailer before heading across the border.
Also double check trailer #, twice.
