Ok so going to 3 week upgrade class to get class a, thinking about getting in to flatbed. Dry van is not really something I want to do, I need some variety. I'm not afraid of hard work, have been throwing forklift cylinders out of straight truck for a year now. I'd like to start out with a manual trans so I've heard maverick is prob out of the question. Any thoughts or opinions on the other three? Or maybe someone has opinion on another company? More Home time is best, I'd be willing to take just a little less for a little more home time. I live in Akron ohio, hope to get some good opinions thanks!

I have done plenty of searches for all, and it all varies, if I had to average out the posts I read it pretty much is a wash between all four as far as home time goes. Maybe I should be more specific. Is weekend home time from Sat morning till Sunday early afternoon, or more of a weekend like Friday afternoon to Sunday night/Monday morning

Up in the motor carries section there are company threads for each of them companies. You will get your best answers there.

Forgot to add that mcelroy was another, did search and looks good from what I saw. I was hoping someone would come along with some inside information with these companies.

Well I realized maverick is all autos and trying to stay away from the auto so I can get my feet wet with a manual
