In response to the message you left for all to read about working for TMC I have been driving for TMC for 15 months and never once have I been given polishing compound and rags and been told to polish my truck once a week I just do it because it makes my truck look that much nicer,my girlfriend and three daughters help not because TMC says they have to. They just do it because I take pride IN my ride and so do THEY. As for having TO do some work in flatbedding yes,you do,your at work not on vacation. If you want to just close doors and drive then go drive a box. As for not being able to take 10 hour breaks and not keeping A legal log book thats just piss poor time management and bad trip planning. I have ran longhaul, linehaul and now dedicated and have never had a problem getting my 10 hour breaks 34 hour reset. So in closing IF you cant handle the work go drive for SWIFT maybe they will be more your speed. Because it is obvious you cant handle real truck driving.

Did TMC buy Terry Dicks Trucking (TDT) out of Lake City, FL??? I live about 25 miles from TDT's yard. I have been seeing more TMC's trucks pulling TDT trailers, and I saw a TDT van being pulled by a TDT color truck(orange and white), but with TMC lettering and flaps. I haven't been by their yard in quite a while, so I didn't know if they were out of business or sold or what.

I read other posts that say you can't have a fridge, an inverter or anything else like that in your TMC truck. Is that true? What can you change inside you truck?
I wanted a fridge, micro and tv in there.

You may have any appliance that plugs into a 12v power outlet directly. That means getting a 12vcooler, a 12v oven, and a 12v tv. I am not aware of any microwaves that can run on 12v. TMC has had too many trucks damaged by the improper use of inverters.

TMC does not prohibit having refridgerators in your truck, just the inverter.:biggrin_25523:

The WaveBox is about to be released onto the market this month. It uses 12v, it will take twice as long than if you use AC.

There aint no way Im polishing somebody else's truck using my supplies--not happenin'. If THEY pay to wash it, that's fine, but polishing--I dont think so, my hometime is my hometime and if they want me to work on THEIR truck, put me on the clock and pay me. To many of you drivers think that this is some kind of lifestyle, trucking is a job just like any other job. I drive to live, I dont live to drive. Until some of these guys understand that, they will continue to WORK off the clock. We in this industry give up too much time such as the few miles here and there that you dont get paid for, waiting time, and so forth--I will be ###### if I give up anymore cleaning somebody elses truck. I make $60,000 a year and I am home every day and every weekend and I never polish anything and I rarely run their truck through their wash! But then again I dont work for TMC.:biggrin_2551:
