Natural selection cant happen when we keep stepping the fook in to prevent it. People need to step out of the way and let these guys get hit with the train. We have gotten to the point we are breeding stupidity.

That's actually not accurate. There were some very politically shady deals done behind closed doors, misrepresentations, and some pretty creative redistricting and zoning. Both the people and the politicians were taken advantage of … it's a bad scene. The new money is not flowing into the community or paying for the vast infrastructure improvements that were required.

Quit voting in idiots, in the end the blame is still with the town. Don't matter how to you try to spin it, it still had to go thur the proper channels to get built. They need to quit blaming everyone else including the truckers for there own crap. Again, I'm tired of being the escape goat for idiots.

P.S. Quit voting in idiots America. ;)

Elwood was a very small rural town that was largely agricultural with very limited resources. Large corperations came in with their million dollar law firms and phone book sized contracts and took advantage exploiting that community. They made all kinds of promises but the devil was in the details of the contracts and the corruption. There are a handfull of locals that made windfall profits along with the corporations but the people and tax payers got left holding the "bag". Trucks didn't initiate this problem but they are a real part of the problem now.

So, What your saying is its still the towns fault. Again for the umteeth time, It still had to go thur the proper channels. Not my fault if they did not read the contract or know what was happening. Ignorance is bliss, they created the problem not the truckers.

When they built the new infrastructure, roads and bridges, that could hold up better to the very high volume of truck traffic it was/is a much longer route. Many trucks cheat to take "shortcuts" destroying the local "farm" roads. They are "flying" down roads they don't belong not to get caught, routinely running lights. Not enough resources, law enforcement, compared to the volume of trucks in the area. So they take advantage.

So while truckers didn't create this problem, they are definitely a part of it now.

I'm sure your one of the responsible drivers that would always take the new long way around and add at least an hour to your trip without traffic, but your in the minority.
