Hmmmm.... Tylenol3 turns to morphine in your system if you have a certain enzyme. If you don't have it, that drug will not stop your pain. ..

I had to use and I used it every 4 hours as needed for days. Then took off 48 hours before I could work. Also, prescribed Narco class 3 but I didn't fill because I didn't want to take off more time..

Went back to work with Tylenol and Motrin alternately every 4 hours for a week...

The problem with extractions is dry socket. Follow the after care perfectly.

Calling BS on that, I have over $3000 worth of dental work over the course of a year and it barely cost me anything. Probably around $400 or so. Your employer may have had a crap dental plan but dental insurance (when it's not crap) can be a life saver.

After having bad teeth from birth (baby teeth came in with brown spots on the enamel)...I lived with it until I was in my 40's until the front teeth started breaking off and I looked like an inbread meth addict. I went in and had 24 teeth removed at one time. Some he had to cut my gums open because they were broken off below the gum. One was fused to the jaw bone. His assistant had to hold my forehead and he had to hold my chest in order to get it to break off...and I was fully awake the whole time. He offered pain meds, but I don't take the heavy stuff...EVER...told him to write a script for 800 mg ibuprofen and I was good. Every evening for 3 days he called to see if I was o.k...and I was except for the minor bleeding...I ended up biting on a tea bag for a few hours and the last of the bleeding stopped. No pain to speak of, and the ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory, so it helped keep the swelling under control. 4 days later I was back in the truck. The boss didn't believe that I had that much dental work done and was ready, until I showed up at the office and showed them the stitches. After having to learn to walk without one of the muscles in my lower leg (after it suddenly tore in half) and dealing with gout in my knees...tooth pain was nothing.

We applied for a credit card before we went in called Care Credit...relatively low payments, and not hard to qualify for, it's just for stuff like dental work and a few other services.

Comparing my dental insurance where I work now to my old job is like an extra $7000 a year in benefits for a family of 4.
That's almost like getting an extra paycheck every month

Some drivers on here visit the dentists in Mexico when they're close to the border. No complaints either and the work is cheap.
