I see Prime and other trailer tail people now using a black trailer tail with no top and no bottom.
Please tell me all the years of trailer tail use have not been in vain.

They do serve a purpose. Saw a driver get ##### slapped by one last week. As for fuel saving I have no clue.QuietStorm and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

saves a few cents in fuel over ten years. every one i see with a tail has them folded up

Are you guys sure the weight savings not having the top and bottom piece doesn't increase mileage????

I even see the "auto deploy @ 35mph" tails staying folded...even the trailers know they are useless and refuse to open them...
