Bring a voided check to orientation if you wish to do direct deposit. If you got a loan to pay for school, bring all relevant loan paperwork and they can set up tuition reimbursement to the responsible party. Though that doesn't kick in til the 30th day of employment.

I ran myself ragged last night. I delivered at 8pm and once empty grabbed a load at Campbell's in Paris and taking ut to drop later today in Plainview. Then have a preplan for Friona to SC which will be followed by a stop in Charlotte NC for PM services. Trying to cram miles in on this week. I'm taking a 10 right now in Wichita Falls and then will end up shutting down tonight in Friona.

HTQ I hope you don't think I was patting you on the head. I respect you and your opinion. I know you work the web to help try to change our image. I am not at all diminishing your effort. If more people would do the same we might get our image changed. It starts with us being professional out here. Remembering that we need to be more patient with 4 wheelers but they are not the only ones in the wrong. It starts with training and we need new drivers to be trained better. There are some top notched schools but most(to me seem like CDL mills). This company doesn't properly train once they get here 7 days is not enough. They regulate everything but minimum requirements for new drivers to take the wheel and be on the road. With big expectations and no real training standards these are the biggest reasons that new drivers fail out here. There needs to be minimum pay standards for us to be patient cause so many feel behind the 8-ball from the jump so there is way more pressure than when we were all on paper logs. Impatience has always been around but the F-U attitude I am first and if I have to run you over to get there is more prominent today than ever before.

In Ozark, Ar on my way to Marietta, Dollar Tree. then to Liberal pick up to deliver in Jackson, Ms.

    Be safe out there

The first thing I need to do is apologize to Panhandle. I jumped to the conclusion that he was being patronizing when I should have known that he wasn't. He is ornery but not a stinker. I have always valued his friendship and opinions. Forgive me, please.:biggrin_2557:

jaso, there are many that are trying to make positive progress in the trucking industry, including some of the carriers, I am just one of many. The problem is that the interests are too scattered and there is no one organization that addresses the whole. We need the carriers but they have to realize that they need to value good drivers also. And I agree, the best place to start is with training and cdl mills. There is some movement in the direction of enacting regulation on the requirements of cdl training.

jdmredneck, I sent you a link to the blog that has a list that you may find helpful.

Thanks HTQ. I would never intentionally diss anybody on this thread. Will admit tho, that sometimes my thoughts get jumbled, and don't quite come out the way I meant.

BTW, I can be a stinker too, but not on a public thread.

And Jaso, pretty well summed up how I feel also. I don't even hold you being a blond, against you!! :biggrin_25522:

I have a question for y'all. When you've had a crappy, frustrating day, what do you do to unwind? Normally, I can blow things off but, today doesn't seem to be one of those times.

This next statement, has NOTHING to do with this thread.

There was a lot of miscommunication and SOP's not done right, that led to this. To much of pain, typing on this little board to go into.

I woulda made her admit that you are adorable before I forgave her.

My old DM never called me for out of route miles. I have taken some for my own purposes, I have been guilty probably should have been called on a couple of trips, was not.

My new DM calls me for out of route. I have not even been taking them for my own reasons since she has been my DM, have not needed to. Out of route due to weather, traffic, construction. Nothing big, part of the job. I got a call today about being 13 miles out of route in NJ. Weird, I did not know I was out of route, thought I was following the GPS. So she asks me why? I tell her I don't know, thought I was good .... she says "I'll talk to my supervisor about it". She did not say it in a hateful way, just like she was taking care of business. I don't know what to think about it, just weird.

Georgie is in Garden City KS waiting for my 10 to be up and rolling with this IBP Holcombe KS load headed to Salisbury NC for Monday at 0600. More than enough time to get it there. More night moves, but I know if I get tired, I can pull over for a 2 hour nap. Last night I pulled into this dirt lot at the corner of US 183 and US 64 past Lavergne OK and slept from 3am to 5am and got to rolling. Load was ready when I got there and came over to this Mom and Pop stop at US 50 and US 83, that has Bonnie's Kitchen. Nice place. Had a Kansan Omelette for breakfast. Yum. Love this place! Glad everybody kissed and made up. I truly believe this blog is the best one going, thanks to HTQ and our cast of characters. So proud to be a part of it!

Don't know if I will keep this load or get swapped out again. Supposed to be home on Tuesday, have to get my DOT physical on Wednesday. Better take my BP medicine, pronto. Wouldn't want to fail and kiss time out on the road. This is my life and sustenance. Deuces.
