Lights , mudflaps on dolly, secure hitch and I’d want a safety chain(s).

    Pictures please.

Won't the weight of a converter dolly require a chassis GVWR higher than most pickups?

Need to look at the weight limitations of the vehicle's brake system [ a 350's are rated for more than a 1/2 ton pickup, etc.]; also the weight ratings of the tires and the regulations on towing something that heavy with out working brakes....

Somewhere, somehow I'm sure some trooper will investigate and a good one will find something wrong.

I’m guessing you just want to pull a dolly from one location to another with a pick up truck. As long as you have a pintle hook and light hook ups it isn’t any different than pulling a single axle pintle hook spool trailer behind a pick up. Electrical and communications contractors do that all the time around here. They don’t have brakes.

When I picked up my last F350 from the upfitters they had an f550 they just finished that had one of the boom dollys attached to the chassis.
