I had that happen on a "evolution" tripac. @Misesian diagnosed the issue with mine. Turns out sometimes they don't route the refrigerant lines correctly and they rub a hole. When mine went in, it was a known defect, but instead of issuing a recall to customers, they just waited until it went bad, and then the shop did a recall/warranty repair.

Looks like its just going to be a defective belt. Alternator code caused shut down because alternator not turning. Of course the wrench has to take his lunch before testing the unit, but the new belt is on, and he said the old belt was not the correct one for that unit, but was a TK part, so maybe it broke someplace and it was rigged, but the new truck owner ( me ) never received that info, or maybe they rigged it at Freightliner of Arizona for the Criminally Insane ( I could definitely see that happening ).

... my guess $480 to $530. Some bs diagnosis fee. An overpriced belt. And a couple hours of labor

My TriPac is an 06'. It looks like crap but runs great. Just little stuff here and there because of the age.

If it's an Evolution model, watch for coolant leaks on the onboard radiator (they call it a precooler). My company's shop keeps many in stock. They're made out of really cheap aluminum according to the mechanic I spoke to. Said they go out all the time since they came out with this new EPA approved unit.
