Marvelous. I get $70 for a 3-day layover...with zero miles.
-
They have some sharp looking equipment, I've seen a few of their trucks where i run
-
Lol that's why I turn off the cb and let them complain about being late all they want. I dislike construction zones as much as anyone, but I'm not risking an accident or my CDL for someone else's convenience. I had one joker literally glued to my back bumper through one of those zones until he went to in the wrong lane, whipped by me after giving me while giving me a dirty look and a no. 1 gesture.... Only to get lit up by a waiting trooper at the end of the construction zone...obvious that didn't save the guy any time lolDenaliDad Thanks this. -
How long has this outfit been around? I lived in Georgia a long time and don't ever remember seeing them, now I see them all over the dang place. They just blow up overnight or am I not very observant? That minority women owned deal probably opened a lot of doors I'm sure.
-
They've been around since '05. And don't worry, until maybe a year ago I'd never heard of them either. Found out about them because I was running food grade tanker to one of the Ice cream plants they haul out of near Buffalo.
-
I'd say the average length of hauling is right around the 750 mile mark. I get a pretty good mix of short and long runs. Last week shortest run was 800 miles, longest was 1500. This week 600, 700, and 1100. That takes me up to Sunday, so hopefully another short run to tag onto the end of the week.
I've never had an issue getting home when I've asked. Usually a day earlier than requested, never any later than day requested.mushroom1464 Thanks this. -
I'm thinking of coming over there and just want to make sure that they treat you good, and if the miles are good and any additional info you may want to share about them, thanks.
-
I don't work there but I did personally speak with 2 drivers that do and the one thing they both emphasized was how well they are treated. Both drivers said they were treated like family!
Western Empire has confirmed that with me as well. Speaking of which, where you at WE? Still doing well? -
Yup, still doing well. On a load from Ft. Myers FL to Allentown, PA right now. Deliver tomorrow and head home to NY for some home time.
They treat me very well. If something isn't right I've never had a problem calling and getting it taken care of. And if you sit or have an unusual amount of transit time on a load they'll pay extra.
Had a 1200 mile load with 4 days transit time on it. Couldn't relay and no one was available to get it off the yard so I was stuck with it (Memorial Day Weekend) they paid me an extra $300 for the inconvenience. You won't find me complaining!Last edited: Jun 3, 2015
