Blackfoot, ID is what I consider a very truck friendly town, and it is home to one of the largest State Fairs in the country. The Eastern Idaho State Fair. Here are some pictures from the parade marking the beginning of the 9 day fair. The fair runs through Sept. 8th this year. If y'all are in the area and have time to burn you should stop in. There is truck parking off I15 exit 93, which is about 2 miles or so from the fair grounds![]()

Any idea what the weight is on the sled? We have Percheron horses and I have always been amazed at how hard they can work. My girls have been show horses, trail riding horses, kid babysitters and pulled a buggy now and then as well as pulling logs once in awhile when we're clearing stuff. Drafts are awesome.

Those particular pictures are of 4000 pound pulls... But the winners in the light weight class (team weighs under 3250 pounds) pulled 6000 pounds 27' 6" (a full pull) the winners in the heavy weight class (team weighs over 3500 pounds) also pulled 6000 pounds for a full pull. The largest team there weighed in at 5240 pounds... The winning heavy weight team weighed in at 4400 pounds.Swiss Mountain Dog Thanks this.
