I suggest you drive singles. If you plan at least 3 days in advance and get return trips, you can still make good, easy money. ;)

bfielder, Whoisdoug and 123456 Thank this.

Ok now I have exactly what I was looking for, which was the weights of those parts needed to be moved. Thank You. I was afraid of that... It's too much for me to handle 65 + 100 lbs. Oh well, on to the next idea...

All that income is on a 1099... correct?

You are self employed...take out for all the taxes, plus an extra 7.5 percent for social security, medical insurance, you have to pay your taxes quarterly based on prior estimates, if the income doesn't meet the estimated amount, tough luck...not for everyone...

Yes that is correct. However, I put away 15% of my earnings every week and conduct an estimate of tax owed with my tax agent every quarter and this has always worked for me. My first year as a contractor, I made a little over 88K from Apr-Dec 2013, I had just over 20K in expenses and paid 1800.00 in taxes, including social security and my medical insurance. So my bring home was 50K in the 9 months and it was even better my second year.

Let me tell you guys, Drive-Away/Contract work in not for everyone but if you know how to plan at least 3 days ahead, have a backup for plans that fall through, stay out of the hotels/motels and rent a cars, you can make good money.

I know a guy who used to do it and loved it. Made great money and travelled all over. Now he's with R & L and hates it. He left when sales dropped.
