I had trimmed off the first minute or so of the original 3 minute video part of which shows an overhead warning sign Prepare to Stop Ahead. That sign goes on when there is a heavy traffic event in Los Angeles along that particular stretch. So everybody knows the traffic is slow. All I was doing was leaving a little extra following distance to the traffic ahead of me so I wouldn't be lurching along stop and go, I can creep along at least at a slow speed but moving instead of periodically stopping.

Still, despite signage and the visual godgiven sense these drivers have to see traffic is stop and go, they will still endeavor to try to power ahead even if only one car or truck length for fear they may be shorted off their lifetime earning potential if held up more than a few seconds. It is a form of mental illness to want to always be in front of the pack no matter what. These drivers will kill and die to be in front. They would benefit greatly by taking an anger management course.

What happens is, one must be happy with their entire existence, every moment walking/breathing on top of this planet should be a happy moment. If the driver finds themself unhappy with the traffic and feels they would be happier up ahead of that truck with the extra following distance, that is severe mental illness happening right there. Get that driver a horse dose script for fentanyl and thorazine immediately.

So truck passing you means you should pick up your phone and shoot video of him. I guess two wrongs do make a right. I'll let my mother know she was wrong.

Wow, someone running a bit past the merge point to get to the opening. I've never seen that happen before!

Umm this was dashcam footage with a dashcam suction cupped to the windshield. Are you guys really, seriously going to defend this stepdeck driver for what he did? Fully loaded with two coils running the shoulder, are those things that critical that people's lives on the freeway are worth less? I mean are other people waiting for the coils on the other end going to die if he doesn't get them delivered ontime?

As you know, or maybe you don't running the shoulder counts as an illegal lane usage which falls under the next tier level of unsafe driving. Carries more points than your typical ticket and can cause driver to lose their license for 60 days after a second offense.

Do you really want truck drivers like this sharing the road with you and your families?

What would JCT safety director say about your encounter with the Prime driver you posted on here when you about ran into the back of him or the 4 wheeler you claimed you got out of your truck to "talk" with?

I'm sure they would be understandable, no one would expect Prime to nearly deadstop on the freeway. I had proper following distance up to that point and was trying to prepare for the uphill like any reasonable trucker would. But we are talking about Prime here. Possible rookie driver who missed agear and/or they have a new hill driving protocol which has their drivers creeping up steep hills to conserve fuel at the expense of safety.

The 4wheeler who was merging on, that is his job to merge on safely, this is established safety protocol. It has never been a requirement for existing up to speed traffic to divert or adjust speed for merging traffic so my safety person would agree with what I did in that video.

The driver was aggressive and felt aggrieved so much to follow me to my exit and and park by me. He all of a sudden lost his nerve when he saw me so he drove off.

I would like that very much. What I want to do is learn how to edit videos and that would be cool to split screen my vids to show what the dashcam sees, what my forehead cam sees and the mirror sees all at the same time.
