Thought maybe he side swiped another semi truck and then watched the whole video from the start and he hit a firetruck
I’m not saying he should go to prison for years, but at least booked and a small bond to make a point would suffice. Kind of sets a bad precedence when hitting emergency vehicles with their lights on only comes with a citation.Arctic_fox, jaffles, Kyle G. and 3 others Thank this. -
He has his orange safety jacket on, so that's all that matters.
Makes the cop deliver the ticket to him while he waits in his warm truck. Then he cracks the window just a little and makes the cop stand there while he decides if he wants to open the door. Just like he did to the last driver he swapped loads with. Head games galore .Bean Jr., JolliRoger, TruckDriver87 and 7 others Thank this. -
Hmmmm. White hood on a black truck and aftermarket bumper and lights. Not the first time this driver has hit something

The guy that hit my truck and ran in Florida wasn't taken to jail. But he was issued a criminal citation, it's basically the same thing, minus the whole booking process. It's still a crime with a mandatory court date, and usually a hefty fine and possible jail time (although that's rare in cases where nobody was hurt.)
Only in cases where someone in injured does it become a felony where they have to bring you in.
I spoke to the cop who issued the citation and he said a criminal citation may not even be issued if he feels the driver didn't even know he hit the other vehicle. He said that's common in big rigs hitting these little plastic cars. He said one truck took a sharp turn and took a side view mirror off a Honda. The driver had no idea he hit anything. The cop just had them exchange information just like had he not run. He wasn't RUNNING. He was just driving. In my case, the guys teenage son ran back after the impact, looked at the damage to my truck, got back in the passengers seat and him and his dad took off. I was clear as day that they knew they hit me and tried running.Last edited: Feb 5, 2025

This happened in Ontario.

But in Canada, I think if a 4 wheeler is caught going 50km over the posted speed limit they suspend the driver's licence for a short period of time and impound the vehicle...but this guy clips a firetruck and just gets citations? What kind of screwed up justice system do they have up there.
