Trucker gets booted and chained

What fuel? We are talking about a strip club that has two huge signs pained on old trailers saying NO SEMI. I really can't see how it can get more obvious.....
The o/p's video he was trespassing. No if, and, or buts. That being the case whoever, either the city or the property owner has every right to boot the semi....

I have a generator,.. and I bought one of these 2 yrs ago off a guy on craigslist. Initially I bought it for doing metal work on my race cars. But read about stories like this and started bringing it with me out on the road.

Never had to use it,.. but if ever I come out of shopping at Walmart or anywhere else and see a boot on my wheel,.. I'm chopping it off.

I'd grind it off to, expecially if there is no sign telling you about parking. On another note, if the cops were called, I mean can they get you for grinding off the boot? Anyone know? If no sign telling you about it, IMO the guy putting the boot on tampered with private property, another words your truck!

 

Sign or not you are parking on private property. What gives you the right to park there?

As for getting a ticket. Well you did destroy someone else's property so I would assume that a destruction of property ticket might hold up.

In either case, what moral right do you have to cut off a clamp when you did not have permission to be there?

 

To your first point about right to park, fair enough, an ask is warranted at least. The same doesn't apply to extortion, obviously.

To your second point, if I put my foot in your ###, should you get a ticket for removing it?

 

Ya, never understood the whole boot thing. Ok so you dont want me here, now I'm going to try to stop you from leaving.

 

If it's a business then you do have the right to park there, as long as there is no sign, and you are conducting business. Private property rights are a little different once it's a business, especially in a commercial zone. If you are "open for business", then you are saying "everyone is welcome".

So without signage, or until an authorized employee of, or the owner of the establishment notifies otherwise, it is assumed that anyone can go onto the property to conduct business.

 

While it obviously depends on the city, most laws I've found that touch on the subject state parking is only for people that have a reason to be there. I.e. Customers, employees, clients, etc. Most places I've found the default for random anyone is "No"

Of course, like all these laws though, all 22,500 towns in the US have different laws.
