One time I was waiting in line to get fuel at Needles. In front of me was a reefer with a bumper sticker that said "California: America's fastest-growing third world country."

Yes I have, and I'd take five of them over one California.

If its so great why do they always seem to need the feds to send them so much money from the other states to bail them out of thier bad decisions.

They're just getting their own money back. Amy way you want to slice the data, California sends more money to the feds than it gets back - particularly once disaster aid is included.

California's debt is closer to $1.6 trillion at least. I've seen estimates as high as $2.3 trillion. The 2024 budget deficit is $68 billion, but the total debt includes a lot more than that.

    How about Real Events .
Buffalo supermarket, parkland school. Supermarket in Boulder Colo. How about the ine in the movie theater in denver. That guy lived near several movie theaters that were not gunfree zones, and yet he picked one further away that was.
Shall i cite more ? Why do you think people that want to kill a bunch of people, pick places like that ? It's not because they couldn't afford tickets to NRA fundraiser dinners, is it ?

Can you show any proof that James Holmes chose that theatre because it was a "gun free zone"? I will gladly concede if you can.

The fact is we don't know the impact of gun free zones because there are almost no studies done on them. What research exists is extremely partisan.

I linked an even more liberal source than the one you used just to prove a point. "Scholarly article"? You're better than that @gentleroger . You know you posted a garbage article that put zero effort into their research. If you request scientific research, you should start by posting your own, otherwise this thread is destined to failure.

    https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/20/us/mass-shooters-soft-targets-challenges-cec/index.html

The first half of the article admits that "soft targets" are preferred by these shooters, but their ideas about how to secure them differ greatly with mine.
