Yeah, Smart Truck Route is a pretty solid navigation app. I've been using it for 3 months now, just paid for a year subscription $58

Don't think Garmin won't do it too. Put me in a residential area in Atlanta.

I use google maps as an additional guidance: on top of my garmin truck gps; when it does that faster route thing now; it gives you time to hit decline or; you can ignore the accept new route thingee that pops up; and it will stay on your current choice.....

I don't think google is as efficient as it once was.

Last tuesday was a state holiday. Google had the usual traffic clusters. But 75% of the state didn't work that day. Traffic was lighter then even sundays.

And when you DO have the normal clusters. It's always saying accident. And the amount of time it takes to get through a cluster is usually twice as long as what google says.

And it don't route very good when it comes to faster. At the end of the day. It always tries to route me through a major construction zone. I can take the longer way back to the barn and beat google by 20 minutes.

Google just hasn't been very impressive as of late.

I wouldn’t rely on it for my only guidance: I could probably make it work in a pinch; but; I also have driven a truck for many, many years all over the place in all kinds of situations....
