Who said Truck Drivers Can't lose weight & be healthy?!?! I've been gone for a while guys but I've been working on my health & getting some of that weight off me. I started my new job at the end of March & just like any other job it required a Physical. I went to take my physical & when they took my weight, the scale read 302.8. I couldn't believe it! It's liked something just clicked & I told myself there is no one I'm suppose to be this big at 24 years old. I started eating better & counting my calories, as well as doing some walking for about 30 mins a day & here are my results. I'm down 46.2lbs in only 10 weeks. I won't say it was easy but it dang sure wasn't to hard either ! I'm not done yet! On a mission to lose 100lbs. I'm going to get down to about 200lbs. If anyone wants to you can follow my journey as I've been documenting it on Instagram. Username is Sorry4TheWeight2017

Good luck, man. Just don't get discouraged in a 2-3 months when you hit the plateu. Keep doing it
Mike2633, driverdriver, Thull and 2 others Thank this. -
Great going. Just remember the changes you made for the most part are lifetime lifestyle changes. The trucking lifestyle is not one where it is easy to lose the weight or keep it off. I had to get out of it myself.
diesel drinker, drivingfool, Shock Therapy and 3 others Thank this. -
Good for you! The fact you do something about it now before it becomes a health issue. Never had a weight issue myself but I still weigh myself every couple weeks just to piss off my honey.
Trucking causes furniture disease...that's when your chest falls into your drawers
Thull Thanks this. -
What kinds of food do you pack?
I'm trying different things and just have a Koolatron not a real fridge.
I've also thought of switching to home weekly in my company to be able to get out of the truck more often and consistently. -
What I found burns a ton of calories is lifting weights. My problem is the beer belly. But lifting seems to borrow the fat from the beer belly for energy. Plus the weight lifting helps keep the heart strong. Keep us tuned into your progress Thull! It truly reaches out and inspires more people than you could believe.
Puppage, Shock Therapy, Thull and 2 others Thank this. -
Find a personal trainer who can teach proper lifting techniques. Deadlfits are a full body workout. You'll be exhausted after a couple sets of just a few reps. You'll burn more calories than any other routine.
Add in some free weights and you'll build some crazy muscle strength.Thull Thanks this. -
Mad props, Thull.
I'm 190, never crossed it... but I know I'm out of shape when I have to crank low-gear to raise a trailer 3" to clear the drive tires because it was dropped waaaaaaaay low..... sweating like a ##### in church, swilling water and hoping I'm put together enough to calculate the next sharp right turn (lol) when I actually depart.
Seriously, man - good on you. Keep at it. '#### the blame and take the pain - keep the pressure on!' ('Head On' - Human Disorder)G13Tomcat, Shock Therapy and Thull Thank this. -
I should probably at least get out of the Regional/OTR thing.
