Thanks for replying. Yeah, There was a tribal mentality about certain topics which used to rub me the wrong way too sometimes.navypoppop Thanks this.

That's kind of messed up since company paid training was always supported. Sorry you weren't treated so well. I'm only hearing one side of the story, but It sounds like you were offering good advice which makes a rebuke that much harder to swallow.navypoppop and Chinatown Thank this.

The Moderator on there that drove/drives for Swift wasn't much better.
He seemed to enjoy belittling & ridiculing people also.
I don't care, that was a few years ago, so I don't dwell on it.Bud A., Real-One-2.0 and navypoppop Thank this. -
I see that Brett occasionally posts on the Driving Truth. Not much to say. The activity on the new site is very sparse though. I do not see many of the older followers from TT on the new site. It might not last too long without a following of members.

I joined in 2010 due to a trickle down layoff from 2008 recession.
Weren't then nor now a proficient computer user so when it came time to search the industry I went online.
Based on the forum sites I checked, and there were a few, and found this one to be the most truthful in users opinions.
The TT site was dismissed early.Bud A., surf_avenue, navypoppop and 1 other person Thank this. -
yeh has to confess in my search for some light reading, I'd look at post and reply traffic as the No1 flag for further delving. Truckers Report sure does bubble along so won the guernsey.
navypoppop and Chinatown Thank this. -
Well I read quite a few 'trucker diaries' over there to get a feel
for what xyz company was like.
There were a few decent people on there with genuine answers
and stories, gave me a insight into the rest of our nation and how
it was like to say live and drive in small town USA being that I never
saw any place outside of the NY-NJ-PA area.
There was a mod there who's hubby was a truck driver, really sweet
and welcoming everyone, sadly she disappeared between 2020-2023'ish
think they were in their 60's hope they are doing well.
Its true any criticism and they came down heavily, long lecture about why
the driver was wrong looool.navypoppop and Bud A. Thank this. -
"Welcome, Trucking Truth visitors. You've been redirected to the new home of High Road CDL Training. The training program you know is now a smarter, more effective AI-driven learning system."
Another reason why we need to fix the CDL training system.
Just saying.navypoppop, Bud A. and 48Packard Thank this. -
I was on there for quite a while. Not only did he steal from this site, he worked hard to discourage people from even checking it out. The self-righteousness was off the charts there. For example, I posted a bunch of pictures of flatbed loads when I was a new driver. The guy who started that thread (probably the most popular and longest-lasting thread there) was doxxed and had his old criminal record put up for everyone to see because another driver there apparently did some business with him and claimed it went sideways. Brett never took it down. Sad.
@TripleSix is correct, and his advice would definitely have worked there.
Then there was the "moderator" (btw as far as I could tell, moderators there had literally no power other than to rat people out to Brett) who got caught by others lying about having a heart attack and maybe some other stuff and then just disappeared. I actually met the guy once when he was working out of the same shop I was working at in Cheyenne. I can only speculate about why he would tell such a tale.
Anne's husband was also on this site but I think he left after a certain driver here was fired for drinking. He was a really nice guy trying to help this kid out but then the kid went off the rails. (Some of you might remember that story.)
I quit going there many years ago because it turned into a giant circle jerk. I won't miss it.navypoppop, Toomanybikes, TripleSix and 1 other person Thank this.
