TWIC question

    If you haul containers out of ny/nj ports you need whats called sealink card,to obtain or renew such card a twic card is needed along with the pin.

    I have had my TWIC for 11 years, I needed my pin once, recently. I go to ports and do a lot of military. I think I needed my pin at Fort Hauchuca AZ

    It is. If you got hazmat it's the same qualifications almost to the letter. Give us yer money

    I didn't even get asked for it at Dundalk Marine terminal but later someone told me they started using it for sure....

    Had to show my TWIC card once at the port of Tacoma, WA. Never been asked for pin #

    I think the pin is for if you don't have the card on you.

    That may be correct, ( I don't really think so because I can't see them letting you into Jacksonville Port without your card, pin number or no pin number, but I could be wrong.) but I do remember them saying there are certain circumstances where you would need both your card and the pin number but I honestly cannot remember what they said those circumstances would be.

    I've had to supply both the card and PIN twice. We had a driver that couldn't find his PIN and they wouldn't let him load unless we had another driver go in and load it for him.
