No, not possible. You can have 2 Sims, 1 card and 1 eSim, but they cannot operate at the same time. You choose 1 or the other.

You have to watch how you use the hotspot. Their terms of service say it cannot be used to replace your streaming access point (like a home router) to smart TVs and can terminate service if they suspect thats what it's being used for. But proving your using it in a truck for streaming movies and such might be a fight. I thought about them, but I use a cell connected tablet that is connected directly to my tv with a usb to hdmi adapter. If I were to terminate that cell line and just hotspot it off my phone with their service, I am not sure they would believe it's just me watching my tablet. And my current phone doesn't work when I plug that same adapter into it like I do my tablet. (Stupid Pixel 6a)

I tried Visable (which is a Verizon prepaid service, but don't utilize all of Verizon's towers) but I run a fair amount out west and had very spotty coverage west of the rockies when not close to medium size population areas. But they do have unlimited hotspot usage without throttling if you run mostly in the east. And you can use a 15 day free trial to see if they'll work, and they are e-sim capable, so if your phone supports dual sims, you can try them on a 2nd sim that they'll assign a different temporary phone number to for the trial period.

My pixel can use both, kinda. But you had to split which line used what. I had my phone service and txt messages on my current number, but I used my 2nd sim as the data on a trial of Verizon's Visible prepaid. And you could switch it around as needed, so if you were in a crappy Visable service area, you change your data back to the main number. And both lines signal bars were on the screen so you could see which service had better signal.

That's dumb... Why get an unlimited data plan if you can't use it however you want... Btw, I'm mostly gonna be using for computer stuff, not really streaming. Man, it's harder than I thought finding a hotspot to use on the go....

If you can pay for a year in a lump sum, you get unlimited data (really unlimited and unlimited hotspot) for $249, which works out to a monthly equivalent of $25.

Verizon has their Unlimited Ultimate plan, which has unlimited data on the phone and 200 gbs of hotspot data. It’s $100/mo. You can get an additional 100 gbs of hotspot data for like an extra $10. It’s expensive but I think that’s just the cost of getting unlimited data. I’ve used it and gave found it generally good enough for my needs. Streaming, computer stuff.

On my phone, I legitimately use a ton of data lol. I’ve seen my monthly total in the terabytes. Never noticed any downgrades or throttling. Hotspot is good until I run out of my data. I think that’s just how it goes with most “unlimited data plans.” It rarely includes the hotspot data, at least with phone plans.

There are other services like Computers4People, which offers an unlimited data plan for $15/mo. Not sure about the service though. I think they use T-Mobile, so it’s probably fine. Calyx Institute is another option, but they require you to pay yearly upfront when you first activate ($750 with their hotspot router, or $500 byod), then you can pay quarterly. Both of these seem to support good causes though and not just some corporation. These might be what you’re really looking for.

Starlink seems like the best option if you want service anywhere. But you do pay for it.

I switched over to US Mobile a few months back. They allow you to pick if your service is on Verizon, ATT, or T-Mobile. They even let you switch between those networks. And the price is great. I just got a years worth of unlimited data, talk, and text for $16.60/mo (paid annually in a lump sum of $199). They don't charge fees or taxes.

You can get the same or better from USMobile.com for $25/month and you decide if you want access to the Vzw, ATT, or TMobile network.

I've been a customer for a few months. No taxes, no fees, just the price you see on the screen. Don't forget to enter the promo code when you check out for the best prices. They are awesome.

Dude, switch over to US Mobile, if your phone can use an eSIM, you can start a second after you sign up. USM will mail you a SIM kit (SIM card for your phone) if it doesn't use eSIM. eSIM doesn't require you insert a physical SIM card in your phone. Look in your phone settings for eSIM. If your phone does eSIMs you can use have multiple phone numbers/carriers on 1 phone if you needed to for some reason.
