Told ya I knew nothing about chaining. I thought you chained the trailer tires when you did the tractor all the time.

I drove that in a car last year during the late summer. Unbelievably beautiful. That drive up from Ooray gives an amazing view north back at the town tucked in the valley.

My trainer thought it would be a good idea to take a spread axle down US550. Thank God it wasnt snowing. That road was VERY interesting for a new driver, me. 10mph turns in good weather.

Ran it once in early spring. Lots of snow on the ground but none on the road. Had 48,000 lbs of pipe. Was a beautiful drive. I made a mental note to go another way if it was snowing.

Much more fun in a JEEP.
rabbiporkchop and striker Thank this. -
eh normal day for us here cept we're 95,000, and we don't chain up til its bad. it prob is pretty tough. ice can have amazing traction if its cold enough, but half warm with warm tires is slippery. tight corners don't really bother me, taking any corner at a speed that is higher than appropriate scares me. 50 mph corner at 75 will wipe you out just as quick as a 10 mph corner at 20. drive the right speed and they are all good fun
alds Thanks this. -
Need to go from Albuquerque to Olathe, CO for pick up. Is there any restrictions for US550 in CO for 13.6 and 53' truck?
should I take this milloin dollar highway, or it is better to take an extra 100 miles throuth Pueblo, CO?
