Just wondering where USA drivers that live in AR run, for the most part. I know OTR is OTR, but just curious where you run most of the time, and is the fleet for AR a pretty good fleet to drive for. Thanks in advance.

Sent from somewhere out there -
They run the north east and east coast because thats all USA has unless you are a brown noser or a trainer. LOL, all of the trainers are in Laredo or on the way there. If you are just starting out and want to run OTR you should look at some other companies. Most of the loads you are going to get at USA will be short regional because they mostly runs the east coast and the OTR freight in those areas is flatbed or refer. If you want to run long haul you should look at some refer hauling companies.Last edited: Apr 29, 2013

BS... I'm a trainer and I'm going to change my handle to the I95 kid. Laredo? I've been there once in the past year. When I got my last road atlas I told them I wanted a 75% discount because id never need most of the maps in it. Owner ops get most of the longer runs, but 2 600 mile runs are just as good as 1. 1200 mile run. You just have to manage your hours better.
Also, east coast loads pay better to the company than the rest of the country. That's why there is such a heavy concentration of USA Trucks there. More profit to be had. -
LOL, you where just there a week ago. BTW, I know how to manage my hours well enough. I just got my last load in for this week and it brought me up 4300 miles solo.

The owner Ops are working for $ .40 per mile after $ .60 per mile for fuel. I dont know why they fo it.

That's the one time I was talking about. Had to ask to get off the east coast. Left Laredo and guess where I went? Boston.. last time I look that was on the east coast too...lol. Did get to Al this week, only to bail out a driver headed home. Now I'm headed home so that gets me in the mid-east for a few days.

I agree, but they do get slightly better than that. Just wait until Obama Care kicks in hot and heavy at the beginning of the year. There will be even less profit then.
-
Sure you did.
