O/O getting the better loads is not entirely true. USA is not going to pay an O/O more empty miles than they need to just because they might not like the loads that are available in a particular area. O/O have to take whatever loads are available even if that means a 300 mile load. I have been a company driver with USA ever since I started driving and I get my share of the better loads. I average 2800 - 3300 mile per week and and I do hit 4000 every now and then but I dont see any advantage to going out and buying a truck just for the pride of it. You guys make about $1.09 per mile and are probably spending more like .65 per mile on fuel. Whats the point in showing a $100,000 income if its not going into your pocket?

The one advantage if this country ever figures out the SS crisis is that the higher income increases the amount you would get in SS benefits. Other than that not really much benefit. My only suggestion is wait till you can possibly buy a truck with cash.

Makes more sense to plan for retirement rather than plan for ss.
