USA self dispatch

I've been at USA Truck about a month now. I was at Quality with about 7 other people that were getting trucks and going to different places, not at any time did anyone from Quality suggests one company over another or were even concerned with where you were going.
As far as it being the same as cpm, that depends on how you select your freight. There are some that average out to be cpm +fsc ($1.30). I don't select anything below that, if I have to settle. Most of what I select is at $1.51- $1.67 after my 68%. The problem I have is that there is not as much freight as I would like, so dead heading to higher paying freight would knock me down to that $1.30 range. Even still, I would do self dispatch percentage over cpm any day. I could never sit around wondering and waiting for a load. Before this I worked off a few load boards and was with Schneider some years back working there load boards (plenty of freight). Are you an O/O or company?

 

So im going to Schneider for orientation on Monday I'm Charlotte nc. Only because the truck doesn't have to stay with schneider. Wish me luck
