I can only speak from my experience. I was and still am treated fairly at USA. It was rough at first, but I had a lot to learn. I still do. Miles were nit always great but got better quickly as I got better and was trusted. Its up to you're attitude and relationship you build with your FM. Ive had the same FM since I got my first truck, despite the brass trying to play shuffle the driver a few times. My FM has actively worked to keep me on her fleet when they start shuffling drivers around. I take that as a good sign she likes and respects me and my work.

I have heard this time and time again from drivers with experience of a year or more. It would serve me well to take this message to heart I believe.

JChisom, thanks for your post. I am considering the Drivers Solution offer. I'm being told by the recruiter that the school would be Midwest Technical Institute (East Peoria, IL) and the trucking company would be USA. I see you've got a year under your belt. You mind sharing what your experience has been with USA? I read some real horror stories about what can (and has) happen if you don't complete your 12-month employment with the company. Some have said they were let go through no fault of their own or for very very trivial reasons. Although many decisions in life are a risk, I'm really concerned about opening myself up to a future liability even though I've done nothing whatsoever to deserve it. How have things gone for you? Or perhaps fellow truckers you graduated with?

Well, it looks like both USA Truck and PAM are a no go for me. I live just outside their hiring area. I thought I was in the area since I live near Laredo and San Antonio, but Drivers Solutions says not close enough. Apparently, I would have to live just a bit closer to the I-35 trucking lane. I'm very disappointed.

Call the usa number. I think itnis 1800 usatruck. Its on their web site. Ask the usa recruiter. He can give a better answer on that than dri er solutions can.
