PMTG OR BMT SAME COMPANY hauling cars. I'm going there now. They say on here that it is a good company cars is the best pay job..
-
What? What does that have to do with USA Truck?

I am sorry to hear this. It took me about a week to get over my anger and decided it would be better for me to just chill a while. While staying at the Super 8 in Roanoke that first weekend I found comfort in the thought this will be a blessing because I was sure I would actually find a better paying company. With just over 8 months experience along with a preventable from March my choices were limited. I had 3 companies to reject me because of the termination, I got 3 good firm job offers and decided to go with Willis Shaw. They are starting me at .30 a mile (.26 at USA) and everybody I have spoke to tell me they are getting 2500-2700 miles a week average. I finished my first load this morning. 600+ miles however I had to come back to Atlanta to see my doctor because of my high BP on my physical last Tuesday. I have never pulled a reefer before and I have found it to be interesting.Last edited: Aug 28, 2011

#### I go away for a couple of days and everybody quits. Anyone out there? Hello? HELLO? Goodchoice10 I really hope this isn't the end of your story with USA Truck. I've been talking with Kim over the weekend and she has assured me that she will get with the higher ups about your situation on Monday. I hope it's not too late. I hope they will convince you to stay. I have shared elsewhere on this forum and my own blog my strong feelings about how USA Truck and other companies need to shift their focus away from driver recruiting and concentrate instead on retaining the good drivers ,like yourself, that we currently have. But I am taking a special interest in your case for another reason. I have been following your comments through various threads on this forum and I'm impressed. They are always relevant. They are always professional. They are always frank and heartfelt. Yours is a good voice. The type of voice I hope to network with here at USA Truck to find workable solutions for driver issues like the one that caused you to turn your truck in. There are a lot of good drivers here at USA Truck but only a relative few can articulate these issues as well as you can. That is why, like it or not, you are now my poster child in this quest. I hope that we will be able to continue this conversation my friend.goodchoice10 Thanks this.

It had nothing to do with USA. (Wrightracing) I had said my bit about them. Your buddy quit. I was just telling him this company is hiring and should be better money.
They just got a new contract.

In my time it has been suggested to me that I should be a poster child, for lots of things that, nothing worthy of repeating here

We will see Ralph, Im not down on USIT, nor am I down on my FM, he's truly one of the good ones, I suspect he is stuck like me. In his case though he has 44 other guys to worry about where I just have me to worry about. I appreciate yout effort Ralph....thanx.Ridinwithpride Thanks this. -
I'm leaving USA due to there are better opportunities out there that pay more and allow me to come home more often (about every day w/ weekends off). I got tired of breaking down for repairs every 2-3 months and my dispatcher not working with me on getting me home when I want to (which is usually some weekdays and the weekend). My original plan was to stay with USA for 2 years and find a local company to go with, but that's not going to happen now lol.

Nuff said. This is not a job search thread. You are welcome to send that driver a private message but please don't recruit here.goodchoice10 Thanks this.

There are lots of reasons for what I would call natural turnover. Retirement. Inability to pass DOT physical. The need or desire for a change of lifestyle ( what you're talking about is covered under this).Etcetera. What needs to change at USA Truck and the trucking industry in general is this constant migration from one OTR company to another which is pretty much the same except for the name on the door. This is killing us (the drivers).
