2250 miles per driver per week is pretty easy to do. depends on what's sent to the truck.

 

Call them and ask the recruiter what their weekly minimum pay guarantee is. My company guarantees me $1200 for every full 7 day week. I only have 16 months RECENT experience.

 

huh sounds like hourly pay. do you get it if you sit for a day during your 7 day guarantee?

 

No, not hourly. I sat one weekend for about 60 hours due to a shipper screw up. That week I still got my $1200. All I have to do is follow their 5 rules. In 10 months, I only failed to get the guarantee 1 time because I was a few hours late scanning 1 load. The guarantee is real. The company is West Side Transport out of Cedar Rapids, IA.

 

The answer is no. You don't. I tried. And NO

 

I recommend talking to MANY drivers from the company a person is considering. When I was looking at West Side Transport, I talked to 7 different drivers. All seven gave them a thumbs up. I was concerned the pay guarantee was BS. It is real, I've been here 10 months and only missed it once due to scanning a load past the deadline.

 

That's the best way to find out.

 

Get on the CB. Ask what they gross a year. The teams at US Xpress I've talked to gross 70k each. And who in their right mind want to be put 45 FREAKING days? Go LTL team and make more and off every weekend. R&L is where my wife and I team. Off every weekend and gross 95k each a year. Old Dominion and Saia pay just as well and home weekends.
