I am looking at buying 2 new trailers, closest dealer is Utility then Great Dane. This will be a reefer trailer... What do all of you think? I have also looked at Hyundia but I have not ever run with these...
So what do you all think??? Good bad???

Utility is a lighter trailer but Great Dane is better built and has better wiring and stronger frame work can actually close doors when not on level ground. I have pulled all three but would never get rid of my Great Dane unless for another Great Dane.

We have Superseal XLTs and Utilities, I much prefer the lightweight big dog to use, multiple stops and still usually getting the doors shut again easily is a big deal to me.
The regular SuperSeal is heavier, but I don't know how much. -
Great Dane /W a Thermo King is what I used. Utility makes a real nice dry van. GD holds temps better.
-
I have owned both, prefer the dog.
-
What about the Hyundia trailers?
-
At my last company I enjoyed pulling the Great Dane's more than the Utility's... The Great Dane's seem to pull better than the Utility's IMO

Don't trust it myself. Don't like the frame, & it ain't US made. When it breaks, who can repair it?

Great Danes are no skinny dogs either. I know the Great Danes we have run anywhere between 500-1000lbs (depending on fuel tank size) heavier than the Utility's we have. The Great Danes are generally look better and feel better than the Utility's do as well.
buddyvuk Thanks this.
