Nothing looks better going down the road then a fully polished all stainless steel Dane reefer.

Dane’s are heavier because they use more stainless and thicker gauge than others.
Back in the days when the countries length laws split it in half at the Mississippi, west coast equipment was the longest, best stuff built. Utility out of California was the best thing to own when it came to reefer. Danes out of Georgia was the best the east coast had to offer but they were generally smaller and shorter and had to be special ordered and built to west coast standards and prerty much imported in to west side of country because no dealer networks out west. Fruehauf supplied Dane with their parts back then and slowly started allowing Dane to use their dealer network for sales in hopes to buy them out. But that is all history.

Both companies use Grote wire harnesses and I don't know what year model you ran but you don't have to worry about harness wearing down now the way we have to loom Them.

Utility trailer has hidden corrosion bomb. Do not buy it.
My friend have Utility trailer from new. In three years aluminum floor start developing corrosion holes. Dealer says they aware about issue, it's because aluminum reacts with underlying wood anti rot treatment chemicals. Nothing they can do or will to change in manufacturing to improve situation.
    will post pictures later.

    Blagoje Thanks this.

Holes developed all across the trailer floor where aluminum touches wood support. Slime alike substance with strong acid smell and reaction with backing soda coming out of the holes. 3 years old trailer. Would you buy it?

my 2010 has 3 plates welded in and some square stock welded into the ducts from the same thing, also the chunky weight I haul doesn’t help but I still won’t buy another utility
