OK here it is.
I just got off the phone with them.
Unlimited is truly unlimited for all data,.. to include hotspot. How ever!
Here's the catch.
For hotspot,.. you only get 10gb of 4G speeds. After that and they refused to call it throttling,.. its "reduced Speed" and goes to 3g speed. For the phone,.. its 4G unlimited for all data. How ever,.. if you are in a metro area with congestion,.. they may temporarily reduce you to 3G speed during peak hours. After which you would return to 4g speeds. It would be done on the fly,.. and in most cases,.. I doubt anyone will even notice.
Coming from a technical background,.. I can understand the reasoning behind this as network integrity and the way wireless works,. this is really not a bad deal.
3G on verizon is still 2.5 - 5 mbit. Thats still faster than my original cable broadband and still perfectly capable of watching 1080p Netflix. I dont need 40 - 50mbit 100% of the time.
So excuse me while I switch my current plan to the unlimited.

How so,.. its still unlimited data. They arent advertising unlimited speed. None of them do.
Thats still better than what Tmobile and Sprint offer. They all restrict data. Verizon's plan is actually the most reasonable here.

Yep,.. thats pretty much what I just got after talking to them on the phone.
Dumping my Dish network mobile satellite,.. $200 early termination fee,..baah,.. Still better than paying $54 month for another year.

Here is a pretty decent video showing Verizon 3G vs 4GLTE.
Understand,.. you dont need much more than 50 kb/s to browse the web smoothly. 2.5 mbit is more than enough to do anything on the web.

Seriously, I love TMobile and their CEO lol

The discount is for paperless billing AND autopay. Just wanted to give a heads up.

My Verizon plan has a Pop Data feature, right now for 3 dollars for the next hour they'll give me unlimited high speed data and it doesn't count against my monthly usage.
I haven't used it yet.
And when they throttle me, it is slow everywhere. I can't watch any videos, it's slow -
That's interesting. Never heard of this. I'm a Verizon customer but I'm paperless so if they've talked about it, I haven't read it.
Out of curiosity, how do you go about starting the feature? 1 hour? 2 seems more sensible at $3.00 -
The throttling was on a different "newer" plan than the one you are using. They won't charge you overage but it's throttled to practically nothing.Hurst Thanks this.

It'll let me do it on the Verizon app.
But then I renewed last summer to a 16 gig plan.
Pilot wifi keeps me from going over and I get rollover data now
