I only remember because it was shipped from a very low security facility.

I mean, you could probably track down high value cargo pretty easily by just looking for trucks with strong seals where the driver actually bothered to use their padlock alongside them. Reality isn’t a Hollywood movie, and robbing a trailer isn’t an alleyway robbery in Chiraq, it’s a heist, in public, with highly tracked goods. Highly coordinated efforts don’t get thrown at random targets.

That’s reality, and I make it a point to not care about probabilities in the billionths of a percent when I’m far more likely to die in my everyday tasks while doing my job.

I've hauled many high value loads but never was printed or special instructions.

    Loose Lips Sink Ships

This is an old adage that started around World War II I think. It just means be careful talking about certain subjects in front of certain people or any people.

In the case of your HV load the best way to frame it would to talk about it as "my friend was telling me about his HV load and some rules like having to drive 250 miles before stopping, ever heard of something so assinine?"

Then we could tell you that yes, this is normal.

The next best thing is to talk about your load in the past tense, "I hauled this HV load once and they wanted me to drive 250 miles before stopping..."

I hope you're not one of those drivers who has their facebook location posted every 20 minutes.

Yeah, I kinda realized that in hindsight. Can’t do anything about it now.

My guess is that it's pharmaceuticals. And the people that want them for Free.99 know where they're picked up, where they're delivered, and who hauls them. So, if you want to come back from the pisser and find that you have no truck to get back into, then by all means, disregard the shipper's instructions.
