Waffle House Museum Opens

I love the waffle house

 

Finally a post worth talking about !(lol) I mean come on the WAFFLE HOUSE is great who from the South does'nt have at least a few W.H. story's to tell. Have been to the Avondale site though not in year's. As a lot of us Southerners call it waffle world, um um um.......Hey,hey don't clean that grill till after you've cooked my food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I just discovered waffle houses last summer on a trip to Ohio. Recently discovered one in PA only about an hour away lol.
Me and the Bf LOVE waffles houses but they're always a rare treat since they are not near us.
By the way - I have never eaten a cheese curd - or I don't think I have. They squeak? What?

 

For some reason there are no Waffle Houses in Montgomery County, Maryland; the county that sits on top of Washington, DC.

The nearest one is in Urbana, Maryland in Frederick County about a seven minute drive north on I 270 or Route 355 from the county line.

 

if you are heading north on i75 from atlanta there is a waffle house with truck parking at the highway 20 exit. great food & very nice waitresses who take care of you. sausage,egg & cheese sandwich with scattered & covered hashbrowns & a large coke,good anytime of the day.

That was at the Duluth, Georgia Waffle House on October 20, 2007. Apparently, a customer recognized a female in Kid Rock's entourage and some words were exchanged. Kid Rock went out into the parking lot and beat up on him and his friends.

I have eaten at that Waffle House, of course not at the time of the incident. Very nice people there.

He had to come back that following March to another Atlanta area Waffle House to cook and do a benefit as part of his community service sentence for the beat down.

Kid Rock is from Detroit, Michigan. He should know better than to mess with Georgia people, especially Atlantans.

 

Ham, cheese, mushroom omelette.

Hash browns smothered, covered, and capped. Not overdone, please (just a little crunch).

Coffee and ice water. Sometimes grits, too.

Dang...now those Corn Flakes I had this morning are never gonna hold me 'til I get unloaded 90 minutes from now!
