Melton screwed the pooch. I submitted an application to Lone Star and they approved me last week. In fact, I'm at the hotel in Gainesville, TX right now for orientation Monday. I turned in my truck today at the Irving yard. I even submitted another app hoping Melton would reconsider me, but I've gotten no response. Sorry man. Just couldn't pass this opportunity up. They do Over-Dimension too which is part of the reason why I wanted to get into flatbed. I won't have to change companies to get that experience now.

I wouldn't work for these people merely on principle, but hey, if they pay something decent I don't judge somebody for doing what they gotta do. All I remember about Walmart was some douchenozzle trying to come around me on the Tappan Zee trying to prove what a hard a s s he was. They'll get get their Chinese made crap fast enough sir.

Walmart only looks for the best if u want walmart to look at u stay working for the same company for as long as u can try to be as safe as possible, and don't get any tickets or csa points hope this helps.

Over the road experience 250,000 safe miles they look at your jobs if u jump from one company to another they won't look at u,clean driving record.

Walmart drivers make at least 30,000 more than that in a years time with an ironed shirt.
-
Do you take offense with my opinion?
-
No u are entitled to your opinion, just wanted to give u an idea what working for them pays.

I'd work for Walmart but I wouldn't quit the job I have to work for them. I have a spotless record and never applied to work for them.

You have to promise to be a WalMart greeter when you retire.
