If you saw this sign at a Walmart, what would it mean to you? They are at many WM's across the country with same phrasing. A. No overnight parking No truck parking No RV parking B. No OVERNIGHT parking for your Truck/RV, but you can shop here. To me it means B and I will park there for an hour while I run in and get some groceries.
Google Earth shows signs saying "No Truck Parking" at the Gardner WM . It's a stand alone WM and the signs are in the grass along the drive and behind bushes so they would be hard to see because they are not in the usual place on the light posts. The dock area doesn't have any room to park either. Super narrow driveway with little room to maneuver near the dock. Many strategically placed planters that would give even a seasoned Sherwin William's driver a run for his money. Surprised you were able to wedge it in there. I'm glad they didn't charge you $8000.
We (the drivers at my company) use to shop there all the time and never had an issue until one of our drivers got towed. Came out within 30-45 minutes after spending hundreds of dollars to find his truck missing. Found out they towed it...the company had to pay $800 to get it brought back, which was never unhooked from the wrecker. They hooked it up and towed it off the lot and waited for a phone call. While he was waiting, he returned his entire cart of groceries for a refund(including meat and dairy that had been sitting in his cart in the sun while he was finding where his truck went). We don't shop there anymore.
the local walmart i go to, has had a small camper on the property for like 5 days now....pick up truck, nosed into it, many times when i get there. to be honest, i ain't exactly looking for no parking signs either.
oh, i never have to wonder why. but i will also add this... way too many times, i have seen homeless people parking on the property as well, and please believe me, they AS WELL AS many customers, toss thier trash. like the boxes that big screen tv's come in, or baby car seat boxes, or hey, here's an added spice to life these days, rubber/latex gloves, and mask's all over the place. yes, truckers staying overnight "do pollute" the parking lots, but sheesh, the cameras all the stores have, should show who else is tossing trash.....unless.....the cameras are shut off when the stores close..???
