I just started using my inverter the last couple of months. Coffee maker and now a microwave. No I don’t “need” them but it sure makes life better with good hot fresh coffee and home meals warmed up. Haven’t had a problem yet with the inverter time limit. It doesn’t take me 2 hrs to warm up some food lol. I’m only out for 5 days, but I like my creature comforts haha.

Treputt, braceface and truckdriver31 Thank this.

If you had sleep apnea years ago you had to buy your own inverter and harness and they would install it right to the battery. When they started putting the 2 hour one in as standard they would also install one to run all the time if requested by a sleep apnea driver but don't know if they still do that as now there's them cigarette lighter plug in ones. The 'Steering committee' was a great idea if you ask me, hope it's still going.

I've been doing is for 20 years. I don't feel pressure backing anywhere out here on the road. There's just something about being watched and judged that makes me nervous.

    truckdriver31 Thanks this.

Very true. Theres guys here that have been fleet drivers for longer than I've been alive. They feel quite insulted for many of the recent changes. My HR manager watched for a few weeks back while i was fueling. Made me forget to take out the trash because i was too concerned why shes sitting in her car parked behind me at the fuel island. Then tried to say i didnt complete a 360 SoS but i did...by coming to her at the rear of my truck. That and not putting my truck key in the passanger door. They'll just have to write me up for that foolishness.
