Onboarding is the most common HR term for the remainder of the hiring process after interviews and before orientations. Many companies combine on boarding with orientations. The term is also used in most English speaking countries. I would venture to say that at least 90% of companies in America use the term Onboarding among their HR departments. it has nothing to do with political correctness. It’s simply a professional Terminology used by HR departments. Don’t politicize things that have nothing to do with politics LOL

I earn 30 days of paid time off a year (26 days PTO, and 4 safety days). Throw in the 104 days off for working 5/2, and that makes roughly 134 days off a year. What are 98% of most trucking companies still at? 1 day off for every 7 days out, plus maybe a week vacation a year? Ewww yea, sign me up for 51 days off a year at that rate. Plus I earn considerably more than those 51 days off drivers.
For some, putting up with corporate nonsense is eased when you're getting 36% of the year off. For me, days off are as important as pay. YMMVStonehjl, hope not dumb twucker, ConsciousTrucker and 3 others Thank this. -
