f you’re on a 5/2 program, running your clock out and keeping your door shut, you can definitely hit that $86k from what I’ve seen since January so far. I’m on a 6/3, so I don’t think I’ll be seeing that $86k, but I value weekends off every few weeks

 

I'm guessing it's a combination of not having a routine, not knowing how to figure ETDs, and not running hard.

 

What's ETD mean?

 

Estimated Time of Departure. You used to put in an ETA to yard and they would automatically allow you 2 hours on the yard for showers, fueling etc but now you decided when you want to leave.

 

If I think I will be ready to pull out of the next place I'm going (store, DC, etc) at noon, that's my ETD time, even if I got there at 11:30.

 

No doubt you work in a state where you can drive above 55 miles an hour, and traffic is manageable. And you probably do a lot more miles than activities in your area...
Now on the other hand, when I was working out of the grocery DC and going home every day,, I made in 10 hours on duty, what takes most 11/14. If you really want to cast stones.

 

I did hear a few drivers say you can control when you were going to show up or something like that. I never knew what that meant, thank you.

 

You can work as hard a you want to here within reason, want to meet your significant other for lunch or dinner just set your etd out later and they won't dispatch you on a run you can't deliver on time.

 

They're probably the ones spending 2 hours in the breakrooms flirting with coordinators. I made 64k here from may 2017 to dec. 2017 and that was on a 5/2 5/3. Show up to work and do just that, or you'll make pennies compared to others.

 

Good way to get yourself into trouble. Most drivers that get themselves into it, bring it upon themselves.
