Good deal, I'd thought it would play out like that. Once it hits the customer it's not long before it's on the shelf. Unless you have several loads coming in the customer is in a tight spot and can't be too picky. Not ripe yet? Can I sell it? versus empty shelves. Some bigger places might get 3-4 loads of more popular fruit at a time where they can be choosy, but papaya's aren't as popular and loads less frequent. Unless it's obviously not sell-able something like that can be pushed through. In about week it will all be in the toilet.
The outside fruit will adjust quicker than the core of the pile. If they just pulp the first one they see they don't get the full picture.
Warm produce, from a cross-dock???
