So I’m with a mega carrier getting ready to leave. I only have 10 months experience but I cannot deal with this Mega they’re driving me insane.
The only issue is today I got a Level 3 inspection warning for missing a weigh station that looked closed in WI. Every other driver passed it too and they only got me. I thought it was closed they had no pre pass or lights indicating entry. I underestimated how far it was and missed the turn. The Officer gave me a written warning. How screwed am I with my job search?
I just started going through the hiring process with a smaller flatbed company with better pay, and it’s regional which means I can prioritize my health more.

It's pretty irrelevant. More of an issue of finding a decent job right now because of the state of the industry and economy. It's not impossible but the warning is of little importance.
Lav-25 Thanks this. -
don’t get another ticket in like 90 days, the way it is here anyway then warning becomes ticket too.

So I pulled my PSP and I have this and a OOS for a flat tire 4 months ago which I just remembered. Tire was flat during pre trip ended up being flat once I got further down the road. Idk man sometimes I think I keep messing up and I’m literally trying my best.

I’m not understanding what you mean. I have this warning and a OOS on my PSP because of a flat tire. Am I screwed? Trust me I’m as cautious as possible but I feel like due to the company I drive for the target me a lot.

The OOS is actually a bigger deal than the warning you received. It isn't the end of the world. You're inexperienced so you'll make these mistakes. We all have. Just learn from it and do better. If you're in doubt about whether the scale is open, go in. Better safe than sorry.TurkeyCreekJackJohnson, wulfman75 and Opus Thank this.

There are no warnings in the CSA system. You were not ticketed, but you received a CSA violation for "failing to obey a traffic control device". This could mean a lot of things, but most of these for trucks is for doing what you did. A warning will not effect your driving record, but you will see this on your PSP and so will hiring companies.. Its not the end of the world, but for sure as suggested, don't get another one any time soonkemosabi49 and Opus Thank this.

Huh?
Nah, you're alright, dude. But you need to start paying better attention.kemosabi49 Thanks this. -
Sorry if I said that wrong but I meant to say the tire WASNT* flat during my pre trip. I ran over a nail in cali and had a random inspection that day. And my company has me under review for the warning, they might fire me, I’m okay with it and I will pay more attention, thank you.Opus Thanks this.

You're foolish to leave now. 2 months is nothing and will go by fast. But if you think 1 year of experience is some magical wand that gets you into a better job you're also dreaming. Trucking is trucking. Different color trucks and marginally different pay with the same issues is what one OTR company to the next us. Suck it up and deal with it. Get a few years under your belt at one place and then step up into a better job.
Space Truckin and bryan21384 Thank this.
