In a world so increasingly antagonistic to us guys and gals who move the nation's economy right along, everyone's favorite north-Midwest chain, Kwik Trip (or Kwik Star if you're in Iowa) threw some shots at Buc-ees over the NO TRUCKS thing. Check it out here: Kwik Trip goes viral for calling out Buc-ee's 'no truckers allowed' policy Something a lil' positive for us trucker types to smile—or laugh—at while going about our biz...
They're not babies. Some are pigs though with their sloppy attire, pee bottles and trash. But if trucks can make fuel, food and misc. deliveries to Buc-cees for their products but then immediately leave the premises do you think that is right? I'll just take my 5th wheel and Ram to any Loves, TA, Petro, Flying J or Mom & Pop and spend my money where it is appreciated. I don't need any Beaver Nuggets anyhow.
I make people happy, they don’t allow trucks, mean they don’t allow drivers, i don’t go on property, if you want your gear, get it out of road, i’m not allowed on property.
I fail to see just what the allure of Buc-EE's is. So 4-wheelers can eat food as cr@ppy as what they serve to truckers (who have some limitations on just where they can park)? Maybe so 4-wheelers show how badly THEY can park a trailer without "Echo-Box Joe" commenting on the CB about your poor driving skills? To not have to worry about scammers and lot lizards? Don't fool yourself; I'm sure cons and hookers will find there way into Buc-EE's as well....
"The social media post garnered more than 5,500 reactions and hundreds of comments from truckers who appreciate the support:" Slow day at cdl life eh? 5.5k is "viral" now?
Truckers are babies....maybe the biggest collection of babies, or should I say fraudulent tough guys. Maybe that phrase will be easier on the feelings of many truckers. Every little regulation, every place that forbids truck parking, every shipper and receiver that holds up drivers gets a truckload of complaints(pardon the pun). Have they not got used to it by now? I don't even get why truckers get angered about that. The lots aren't even setup for trucks to park there from what I've seen. Truckers want all this respect and adulation. You said it. Sloppy attire, pee bottles, trash, trucks that never get cleaned up, etc. How can truckers expect to be respected when they blatantly disrespect other organizations and other people repeatedly? To answer your question, I don't know that it's right...I only know it's their right because it's their store. They have the right to say no truck parking if they want to. I can't control how folks think. I can control what they see, which is professionalism and a nice guy attitude. Everyone needs to get like me lol.
