Louisiana will usually give you at least one chance to get it right.

Depends on the weigh station and mostly the officer on duty.I was over in TN took 3 times Illinois took me two times. Both officers were very nice.TN told me I could go overweight but said there's other weigh stations that may be open. But I got legal to be on the safe side. This was real early and no-one else there so that might have been why he was so lenient.

Can only tell you about two states because those two were the only times I've ever been caught heavy, VA=1 & OH=0......

WI let me adjust. I was over on drives, but between shipper and truck stop were no Cat Scales and they knew it.. He let me adjust and roll back over the scales then he printed me a scale reading so I did not have to find a Cat Scale. Pretty nice people...

Hammond and Breaux Bridge are nazis.

Greenwood and Mound will let you slide it. Not sure about the others.

I had mine all the way back already on a repowered load so it was sealed already and couldn't see how it was loaded. I hit the cat scales and had to put it all the way back. Well got pulled in at Virginia and he gave me a chance and I pulled the cat ticket and the load had apparently shifted. I showed him everything and my company had to eat it.

Yea after he gave me the ticket. I had a counterweight on the rear and I was 42000 on the rear and didn't have my axles spread. Didn't feel that heavy at all
