Ok thanks,
Any particular reason. I appreciate it -
The drivers that post on here say the pay is really good and overall a decent place to work.

Great Thanks for your input
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Magnum ltd - fargo, nd
This thread will give you some good insight on what it's like to work at magnum.
Overall it's a decent otr company and if I was going back to OTR they are likely who I would sign on with again.
Ps the North Carolina facility is just a drop lot. Ive never been there, but I believe it's at an old dominion terminal. They have regular freight in both Jersey and North Carolina, so getting you home should not be an issue. They try to do most service in coon rapids or fargo but wont hesitate to get your truck fixed on the road if needed.Chinatown Thanks this. -
Thanks Mud23609
I appreciate it -
Now that I drive freely. I would never go back to mitigation systems and governors at 64mph. Felt like I was teaching the computer driving. It was awful.
I’m free now. Governed at 75mph. I’m a driver. Not a wheel holder. Also dry van is free of wasting your life at cold storage facilities.
That said. Most all of Magnum is great. Loved it. Their safety department doesn’t want to have a meeting with me and their big boss. He would burst out laughing at them when they tried to get me in trouble over HOS and elogs. He was the only one who actually knew that stuff. He would tell me: “Good move! You are legal!” While continuing to laugh at the safety department.
Oh and safety will try to get back at you if you quit. I had an incident of obvious insurance fraud in NC. It was obvious. Including their own dash cam video that proved the guy was lying from the start. Said he was there under his trailer the whole time. Dash cam proved nobody was under that trailer when I pulled up. Safety reported to HireRight that I had a preventable backing accident. Nothing short of a lawyer and suing magnum and HireRight would do anything about that.
One other thing. If you work for Magnum. You will be going to Coon Rapids. That’s Minneapolis. I say no to Minneapolis.Last edited: Dec 11, 2021

Hey western plains,
Whats a good Dry Van starter company that you can recommend. -
Magnum seems to be where it's at. I talked to them before I came to my current gig. I'm doing well here, but I felt like I would have done just as good going to Magnum after talking with the recruiter, I think his name is Tony, I could be wrong. They seem pretty strict when it comes to safety. They check your CSA score before coming over, and mine wasn't so good at the time because I stayed at a less than stellar company a little too long. I remember talking with a recruiter from WEL Companies when I first got started. They seem like a good company too, they don't let you drive the truck home. At the time I was living in Murfreesboro, TN and I think they had a requirement of living within a couple of hours from the terminal. I want to say the closest terminal to there was Dalton, GA. I don't know about driving home if I've already driven a lot that day. I don't think you can wrong either way. I know me personally, if I were to leave where I'm at now, Magnum would be on the short list.

Hey Bryan,
I'm leaning towards Magnum. I'm moving to Eden, North Carolina in a couple of months they have a drop yard in Greensboro which is 40 mins away. They said I can park the truck there for home time.bryan21384 Thanks this.
