OK, Not to be an *****, but why did you buy a truck with problems like this and expect it to make it home?

Now that's out of the way, is it a drip, or is it a leak like putting a pan, and it fills up, or is it residual oil from the turbo feed line leak??

I had two trucks with so much oil from the feed line splitting that it was dipping for a week on one of them, the second one I had the engine washed by Blue Beacon to get it off - they did a good job.

The first one would drip, and it went back to the dealer, who said "no leaks from the engine" spending $200 more just to have that written on the invoice.

So I would have driven it, checked the oil in it every few hundred miles, and fill it when it was needed.

Illegal? Not where I come from. I can take my whole family along, or anybody else that I want. It’s only “illegal”if you drive for a mega carrier and they told you you may not. as far as all the other, what if you mentioned, what if your apartment building burned down when you were in it? What if a drunk driver hit you when you walking on the sidewalk? What if there was a nuclear explosion that atomized you? or, the absolute worst of them all, what if your computer crashed when you were straight line backing into a dock on American truck simulator? Just as you saw a green car pull onto the screen? I shudder to think of it

Actually no, Detroit ranks sixth, but there is a difference between other cities and Detroit; the murders here are mostly among family members or neighbors, where in Chicago or Memphis, it is strangers who are being killed in mass. There is a difference.

Now if you look back at the 70s, Detroit was number two behind NYC for a long time but when we hit 728 murders in one year under that great, benevolent, all-powerful, civil rights pioneer Mayor Young, we topped the nation and the world.

I know who to call if I’m ever stranded out west. I’ve avoided running west for that very reason. Never driven west of Denver. Probably rent a car someday and take a road trip. Might get Trucking again. Broke down or not, you’ll hear from me. Stop and have a root beer with you. Lol. Same here. You or anyone on the forum broke down near Detroit can call any time 24/7.

Yes I will tell him him what I did for an another driver….

Ron ask if I knew anyone around a certain area of WV, which turns out to be the hiding place of a basic thief. Learning of the same as theft of his new stretch lowboy, I ask a freind in that area to look for Ron’s new trailer, and sure enough he found it hid behind a little fuel stop in rural WV.

Me being the person I am, unafraid of others, and not one to whimper when lighting strikes, drove my Rig bobtail for nearly 2 hours to get to this location, and after some time working along with my friend as well as Ron’s friend, we got the trailer free of the truck it was as attached to (nothing harmed or tore up). And I hooked to said trailer and drug it back to my place where it was retrieved by the owner next day. Odd situation seeing how the trailer was supposed to be out west, but instead was nestled in the Appalachian Mountains.

These are the kind of things we do for friends, these are the kind of things I do for others, just as I have the last 38 years of my career. I try to stick to my roots and be the guy who lends a hand to others.

There’s a lot of good folks still out here, not everyone is out to kill you.

I’ve helped helped @blairandgretchen at my shop, and he since has stopped and visited me, we are good friends.

I’ve picked @wore out up at the airport close to midnight, the man has stayed overnight at my house with my wife and I. 2 empty bedrooms so no since in getting a motel. He is one of my best friends, we tend to be a lot a like.

@Logan76 has been here when I replaced an air bag on his International tractor. He too is a friend now.

@Razororange took a chance on me not being a serial killer as well and stopped close by, I picked him up and took him to a local restaurant where we talked for a good while and have become friends. He’s a fine young man in my opinion!

I’ve met @Arctic_fox too, fine young man who I say with confidence is my friend as well.

Met @singlescrewshaker as well, also a good friend now, and he’s a fine young man in my books.

Met @Vampire as well, fine young man for sure. One of my good friends now.

I’ve met some who are no longer members here… @Humble pie & @shogun. Once again strangers who became friends, and yes I still communicate with them occasionally.

In all honesty, I’ve never met a bad person from TTR. Everyone I’ve shook hands with has been a good person, I only hope I had the same impact on them….

Mack Pinnacle 2016, I asked the same, said it was maybe 12'4" - was thinking RGN height also.

I hauled a W900L Aerodyne for Vampire from KY to his place up north. Had to let some air out of the tires but got it to legal height. Think it had a 72” sleeper….

All I can say is that @OLDSKOOLERnWV is a man. A real man. The kind of man that you would hope all young men would aspire to be. The @Rontonio job was one for the record books.

I am pretty sure that @OLDSKOOLERnWV actually thrives in this situation, because it keeps his skills sharp. All of his skills.

The spark that ignited that well executed job took just one post, a flurry of communication that we all hold in our hands 80% of the waking day, and a network of real human beings, willing to help. Good vs. Evil.
