I never saw this post as funny, but very disgusting. If the post is even true, it doesn't say much for the quality of people. Werner is crap company anyway.

I kind of look at a couple of the bad companies I used to work for like the military, seems like hell and unbearable at the time but you can look back on some of the dumb things and laugh.

Sort of toughens you up so you can handle things better when you have bad days or weeks a few years later.

Though if the OP is even remotely telling he truth, this is an extreme case and a pretty much worst case scenerio.

When you are a new driver and still learning the ropes, every other little thing that goes wrong job related or not can seem to make a bad job exponentially worse.

My first driving job wasnt terrible, but what I mentioned above made it seem that way at times. I actually miss it occasionally.

Yesterday I managed to make it home with a light load in the snow and wind, and managed to get myself stuck twice in our trailer yard. Tried putting chains on two tires, opposite sides, and dug myself in deeper. Made me feel like a day one rookie all over again. Eventually I flagged down a bucket loader to push me out.

Very often people laugh because of the sheer relief that what is happening is not happening to them. Not sure why that is but it is.

i disagree. I've had a relatively good experience with my trainer and the company.

sure theres a few bad apples and idiots but they are not the majority and do not indicate that all werner trainers and drivers are crap or that the company is crap.

its like saying all black people are trouble makers because some in Ferguson rioted and looted over a grand jurys decision to not indict that police officer.

Yup. Whether or not some people will admit it...everyone has had one of those "I'm glad it happened to him and not me" moments.

As I recall one driver say before, it's nice to hear from a few happy fish in the sea of misery.

    Edit.
But I can see how those doing good over there would try to shed a little positive light on this thread. Ft
Every time someone post on it ,it shows up on the very top of the front page at the forum as

    ``Werner trainer craps himself''.
That in its self is a disrespect to the company. X don't take it to serous, its just a few puck shots being thrown at a company that probably trashes thousands of drivers every year.

I graduate two weeks from today. I've read as many of the posts bashing Werner, as I've read those posts that do not. I've chosen Werner as the company with which I'll start. Choosing Werner wasn't easy. I had offers from Roehl, Covenant, Schneider, Prime, Stevens, and Knight. Of all of those, Werner offered me the package that will suit me and my family best. So, which is the best company? IMHO, the one that makes you the best offer you can accept.

With that said, I have two questions for those who have bashed Werner:

1- How many of you were born behind the wheel of a truck, and with a CDL-A in their wallet?

2- In the event none of you can answer "me" to question number 1; how many of you "high timers" out there hit the proverbial "grand slam" and went to work for the company for whom you still work today and/or NEVER had any bad experiences happen to you during training?

Point is, when you're a nugget as I am, EVERYONE tells you pretty stories of why their company is the best. Others, many of whom are disgruntled ex-employees of the very same company they are bashing, only have ugly things to say about company A, B, or C. At any rate, if any of you were so stupid to believe everything you were told, then sorry to say, you deserve the disappointment.

Granted, having an infestation of B.O. in a space already too small for one, let alone for two, would churn my stomach and would prompt me to call and ask for a ride back home, I choose to look at it from the perspective of a personal trainer friend of mine; "pain is nothing compared to what it feels like to quit." In addition, if any of you endured such misery, then it's plausibly because you didn't have enough of cojones to open your mouth and say something.

I have big, round, hairy cojones, and I have no qualms in telling my trainer to go take an effing shower, or to go grab a fire hose and give him one myself, or to pack my bag and get the ##### out of the truck. If the company fires me for that, so be it.
