Ahhhhh I see. So you never did find a company. You could try RE Garrison. They run coast to coast. @mdmgolfin is killing those runs over there.

    thelinedriver Thanks this.

I'm looking at a few carriers for 48 state right now. Most are in Chicago and pay 1099. I'm broke. So nothing left in my piggy bank. It's go or be homeless time.

There's someone on here driving for Holland Enterprises going cross country. They'd might be worth a look.

Yeah I thought about it, seems ok,they do have some pretty bad reviews from some others, but I wander if that's just not their failed lease purchase drivers? I want to stay company

The problem with west of the Mississippi is that nobody lives there. Not outside of CA, WA and OR. Population centers are all east of it except for the west coast pacific states. It's just not where freight goes. If you've followed this forum a few years you'll get a feeling anybody doing "western 11" or whatever doesn't do very well unless the whole country is booming. It's just mountains and desert. Rich people go there to ski. You want to truck doing logging, mining oil fields or fuel hauling there? Should be some of that work. Long hauling typical freight where nobody lives? Good luck on that career choice.

They have lots of company drivers who have been there for quite some time now. That's why I tagged that member for you. He works there and he's still working there, as a company driver, almost 2 years now if I'm not mistaken. Not sure exactly what you're seeking, but he can give you the lowdown on Garrison.

Like Joe Dirt said, "It's not what you like. It's the consumer."
