Don't be. Ever. You are not a sissy. You are a driver. A good driver to feel that for other bad drivers who do not deserve to be called drivers. Slobs yes but drivers no.

I feel the same as you do. And sometimes run into people who have very low opinion of truckers such as the bad ones. They are sometimes surprised to find out Im one. A bad one? Yes at one time. A good one? Hell Yes.

if only we could piss into our windshield washer fluid reservoir. Then we wouldn't have to deal with piss bottles all over the lot.

You could at least use piss as a de-icer for the winter months...

I'm just having a laugh here...

After having spent 3 days at Aurora NE Loves during a monster blizzard over New Year's, sometimes ya just have to stop for circumstance and situation. Waco would be on that list in case of freezing rain, high winds or whiteout, as is common in that area. I'm not buying fuel, but if I'm here that long I'm sure spending money in there!

Or refill your def reservoir. $2.50/gal for water and urea... Pssh, I can make it for free.

Edit: Didn't read @dimes post where he beat me to it.

I don't know about washer fluid but we're probably better off using the DEF tank as a urinal. Rotflmmfao

Supply and demand. The Petro in York NE is full on this Sat nite. Other truckstops are going to try to generate revenue by charging for parking, we will see if guys just park on tge ramp instead risking a significant fine.
The days of parking for free and maybe buying a cup of coffee in the am are almost gone.

Truckers should be able to afford it. With speed governed limiters and ELD's saving us from big money tickets, the truck stop figures all that money we're saving can be spent on parking.

I say nay. Not only do I always find a spot, 80% of the time at Petro, 15% T/A, 5% other, at least 50% of the time the girl in the fuel island gives me a nice fresh refill on the house.
Petro's always fill up on Saturday nights.
Since I've just been doing this local, the one I always stop at in Eloy, always a good amount of folks in it. On Saturday & Sunday mornings, I only go by in the mornings, your lucky to get a chair. It's also very well run. I was eating out of a to go box in my truck the other day, and was marveling at how clean the lot was. I was thinking how trashed the lot always is at the J in Phoenix, which is not well run.

Someone brought up property taxes & garbage removal fees. Well no one wants us, and we need a place to go, a human place, lest we forget we are not robots, SO, I propose that the local governments give a tax break on the property, AND help subsidize the garbage fees.
    OR
Let Mega Trucking Inc. help pick up some of the tab. You drive by any terminal of MTI and what do you see? Millions, tens of millions of dollars in equipment just sitting there. The fat cats make tens of millions. No we drivers aren't giving up any more coin, let the people with the coin part with some of it, for the benefit of their work force.
Name me one other occupation, not counting warfare, where the employer does not offer you safe harbor at the end of the day.

But there still are plenty of good stops. You guys aren't rolling enough if, when, you get to a stop you don't appreciate the coffee & corndogs. Of course many of you are on e-log, so you must be punished, and not get to the good stop, which is probably why I always find a spot.
