its not missing the point, if a guy is doing 4k a week and is happy and that is exactly what he wants to do, theres no problem with that.
the thing is some guys can make more profit off their 4k than some will off higher revenue.
it what i like here , you can do things as you wish.
my point is from looking at numbers , some guys simply aint killing it like they say.
people may not realize if they want a rough guess of where they stack up against other, his coordinator can tell him at any given moment , what position he is in compared to others in the entire fleet.
i have been surprised sometimes , at where i stood. much much higher than where i expected, i rarely ever ask.
back in august 2015 i was at number 15 in revenue for all open deck, i was down 9 days for an inframe, i was in the 580 position when i rolled out of austin, tx , that just showed how close in revenue the top 600 guys were, i the year in the 60's for revenue.

I’ve been at Mercer for 4 months and have had a bunch of breakdowns being that I own a new/USED truck. Anyway I expected the first year to go like that. None the less Ive probably had 1 month of down time combined and am usually home weekends due to the fact I live in the Chicago area. That said my average all miles are $2.45. I am still learning the board, Mercer, and the lanes so I expect after 18 to 24 months at Mercer I should be doing very, very well.

I have averaged 17k a month for the first half of the year. I'm not a failure by any means, I just choose to be home more often with my wife. July kinda sucked numbers wise, but I took my wife to Texas to see the grandkids and then spent a few days in Nashville sight seeing while I had a few boxes stuffed under my trailer.spyder7723 Thanks this. -

Yep. This is why i say average monthly or annual revenue numbers don't mean jack. A better metric is average daily revenue per day you are available and willing to work. -
240 K/ year at Mercer..... I'll have to say BS to that.
